If you habitually eat McDonald's every day, you must first stop doing that; replace the habit with habitually eating salad every day, for example.
This tilts the hill.
Eventually your hill of self control, self confidence, self actualization, and ultimately positive momentum will begin turning on its axis.
Everyone has momentum. If you look at the facetious "fab 2 flab" article set, that was made to illustrate this.
Its just as hard for a non-smoker to start smoking as it is for a smoker to quit smoking.
Its just as hard for a healthy person to eat McDonald's as it is for a non-healthy person to eat a Salad.
Difficulty is subjective.
So change your point of view, rotate that hill's axis by creating positive habits, and grow as a person.
Visualize who you want to be often, and, from their eyes, view your challenges and decisions.
Sensei's Challenge:For the next three days, challenge yourself to have 100% self control in an area which is difficult for you.
For example, surround yourself with chocolate. Crave it... and don't eat it. Keep it within visual range and have it tempt you. Its a muscle. Get ripped!
